Bikoro is a Congolese city of 7,000 inhabitants. It's located in the Équateur Province along Lake Tumba. Bikoro is within the world's largest wetland, known as Tumba-Ngiri-Maindombe. It has tremendous economic value prompting the uncontrolled extraction of timber. The Bikoro territory is also home to the endangered bonobos, red colobus monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys.
